I’ve been thinking a lot about why I’m so passionate about Izakaya Juraku. And I think maybe... it’s because I’ve felt broken for a long time. I think a lot of us carry something broken inside, whether we show it or not. For me, creating this space, this little izakaya, has been a way to try and fix things that maybe can’t be fixed. And maybe that’s okay. Because what I can do is bring comfort to others. I can serve the food that brings me peace, pour the drinks that quiet my mind, and create a
