Sammy’s Roumanian Steakhouse Is Finally Reopening

Famous steakhouse Sammy’s Roumanian is returning on April 22. Staying in the Lower East Side, its new home will be at 112 Stanton Street. When it closed back in 2021, David Zimmerman, son of Stan Zimmerman who used to run it, vowed he would relocate and open once again. Gladly he decide to stay in the neighborhood. Originally thought to be reopening on Orchard Street, that location fell through so Stanton Street was next up. And now he’s made good on his promise of bringing Sammy’s back to life. The menu and staff will remain the same, but Zimmerman has added brunch to the menu.
