As the Shoplifting at Target Continues so do the Busts

Shoplifting has always been one of the toughest parts of the retail business to deal with. And the Lower East Side retailers are feeling the brunt of it lately. It seems like every other day another perp is totted away in cuffs to face the judge. This unlucky chap was chased down and found hiding in the bathroom at the Essex Street market. He’ll probably be out on the streets again in a couple of days targeting another retail outlet with lax security. By the way, since Trader Joe’s hired 5-7 roving security guards the shoplifting has subsided dramatically.
