According to a new report from the Rent Cafe blog, the Lower East Side came in 7th place as the most expensive places to rent an apartment in the United States. 8 zip codes in the top 10 list were located in Manhattan with 10002 coming in at an average rent of $4,441 and Battery Park City being the most expensive Zip Code at $5,924. Current listings in Battery Park City show 3 bedrooms renting at about $12,000 a month. Madness!
The Upper West Side scored high on the list coming in with three of the top 10 priciest zip codes and San Francisco scored two of the top 10 spots.
