Omelettos gave it their best shot, but eventually they had to scramble from 158 Orchard Street. And now a new contender, Gnocchi on 9th, is taking over the space. The Italian pasta purveyors, who already have a location in the East Village at 315 E 9th Street, thus the name, are renovating the shop and should be open shortly.
