Brian Wood is an American fashion designer. After studying fashion design at Pratt Institute, he launched a pop art inspired t-shirt line in 2003 from his Washington Heights studio apartment. Armed with a dream and an industrial sewing machine, Brian produced one of a kind hand painted and bleached styles at night while working full time design jobs during the day. Over time through pop up shops, art installations and press features the line developed into BWOOD, launching spring 2007 offering it’s first seasonal delivery to retailers. BWOOD is an internationally sold rebellious alternative clothing brand whose innovative designs are a play on popular culture, injected with a whimsical sense of humor, creating thought provoking designs that are instant conversation and novelty pieces. BWOOD continuously prides itself on its ’cult like’ following and continues to operate independently for 9 years and counting. #BWOODKNOWS Brian also produces street wear label PANTY RAIDERS and designs under his eponymous men’s sportswear collection, BRIAN WOOD, with an aesthetic that fuses meticulous detailing, tech fabrications and street fashion – design to inspire.His collections are conceptually driven.
