Brennan & Griffin first opened in Los Angeles’ Chinatown in 2004 under the name ‘Sister.’ Exhibitions from this time can be viewed under the archive tab below “past exhibitions” on the website. In 2010, the gallery relocated to New York’s Lower East Side and renamed itself Brennan & Griffin. In 2017 the gallery opened a basement level exhibition space called Step Sister which is programmed by New York based artist Nick Irzyk. Both gallery spaces present exhibitions by artists who contribute to the dialogue of contemporary art in significant and rigorous ways.
