The Gutter is coming to the Lower East Side

Splitsville

The developers of Essex Crossing have signed a 10 year deal with a retro-style bowling brand for a boutique bowling alley right here on the Lower East Side. The 17,000 sf. venue will have 10 lanes, live music and traditional bowling food such as pizza and burgers, as well as higher-end fare. It’s scheduled to open sometime in 2017. “Splitsville is going to do something really special here,” said S. Andrew Katz, a principal with The Prusik Group, a partner in the development team. “It will be different to what they’ve done anywhere else.”

Essex Crossing, developed by Delancey Street Associates, is a 6-acre project comprising 1,000 residential units and 850,000 square feet of commercial space.
